About

Dearest APUSHers,
Advanced Placement United States History is a fun and challenging course that requires substantial reading, note-taking, essay-writing, and perseverance. I understand that you are most likely busy with loads of schoolwork and extracurriculars, and APUSH, after all, is just another class, and not a life-long passion. Lucky for you, I fell in love with US history. I fell in love with The American Pageant, with writing essays, with taking notes, and with Alexander Hamilton, our greatest founding father. I regularly lead study groups for whatever classes I'm in at the moment, but I decided to take APUSH to the next level. I created a study guide for my study group, a simple online blog so classmates could print out my notes and study in a hurry. Soon, I started seeing people skimming over a copy of my notes in the cafeteria, reading my blog in the school library. I started receiving numerous "thank-yous" and "you-saved-my-lifes." And the blog soon spread to people at different high schools, different cities, and even different states!

The reason my humble blog gained popularity is because the notes are directly helpful to each chapter quiz, as well as the tests. Course-notes, and other objective study websites do not present information in a clear or useful way for true understanding. My notes are little bit longer, but people are able to get 100s (even 105s) on their quizzes without even opening their textbooks. Now, I do not recommend relying solely on these notes. I want you to excel in this course, not just scrape by. But this website is here for those who need extra help, are in a hurry, or can't make it to the study group. Other than chapter notes, I also have lecture notes, overviews, DBQ help, essay topics, and more, so you can not only ace the quizzes, but you can beast it up on your tests, and even the AP exam!

The AP exam for US History is not easy; it asks multiple-choice questions about obscure topics and gives difficult essay questions that require a broad knowledge of the subject. But with this website, along with a lot of studying on your own, you will be ready, and even excited to take the exam and get that 5.

I want you to use this website to help with studying, but I also hope it sparks a passion for US history that you never knew existed. I add fun commentary in my notes to make them a little less boring, but also to ignite some interest in the people, places, and events of our America. I want you to take sides! Which historical figures do you like and dislike? What are your views on politics and economy throughout history? Who is your favorite president and why? What can we do in the future to stop history from repeating itself? Get involved in the subject, make it personal, and not only will you excel, but you'll have fun!

If you have any questions about this website or US history, if you want advice for writing essays, breezing through multiple choice, and acing the AP exam, you can email me at anisha.patel@comcast.net or comment on this blog. Thank you for reading, and I hope this helps!

Sincerely,
Anisha Patel

You don't know how much this website has helped me. It's the only reason I'm passing APUSH. Actually, I'm doing better than just passing. I love how your notes are very specific, but they're also really fun to read. Your cute comments make my cram study sessions not so bad. I wanted to ask if you're up for giving advice for what classes I should take next year. You seem to have a good amount of experience with AP classes, and I'd really like to know which ones to take and how hard the AP exams are. I think I'll email you with my specific questions. Thanks again!

What a wonderful way to help others! It's sad that the world lost someone like you who offers help when you don't have to, but you did it freely to help others save time and heartache. What a good-hearted person. God Bless you!

This is SUCH a helpful website. I am from upstate New York and I have showed it to a few other kids at my school and we all love it. I love how enthusiastic you are...that was me with AP Euro. My school doesn't use The American Pageant but I got a copy to use anyway. Thanks so much for this great blog!

I love your blog. I read my first article on the Bank War and your comment about the pet bank made my day. You take an objectified, detailed, usually boring topic to most people and turned it into something a normal person could understand and remember. I love the significance you put at the bottom. It analyzes the situation and opens our minds to what it would really mean if we did not get that on our own. I appreciate your blog and I'll keep it bookmarked! :)

Wow, I am floored. This is just incredible...thank you so so much!!!

Good job on the article! But if you want to improve your blog you first of all need to improve your writing skills. You can use even basic essay writing tips to do so.
